My role on the project was as visual effects artist. In the game you learn about the person who gradually built this tower into the sky. Cementing the altitude of the tower was a really important part of the game.


I made a shader for the skybox that made the clouds circle you.


Fog that bathed the city below you to cement just how high above you were.

And these birds which I made using custom shaders and the unity particle system. The setup is fairly simple with a vertex shader that animates the wings of the bird.

We made it for the DreamHack Jam in 2017 but ultimately polished it to include extra content and release it as a complete project.
